Privacy policy

We collect the minimum data needed to provide Prompt Zero. This includes:

• Account information — name, email, and profile data provided through Clerk, our authentication provider.
• API keys — keys you store for AI providers, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. We never have access to your keys in plaintext.
• Content you create — prompts, snippets, and related metadata.
• Usage analytics — anonymous product usage data collected through PostHog (EU hosted) to help us improve the product.
• Error reports — technical error data captured by Sentry to help us fix bugs. These do not contain your prompt content.

Your data is used solely to provide and improve Prompt Zero. We use it to operate the service, authenticate your account, execute AI requests with your API keys, and identify and fix technical issues. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Your data is stored on Railway (EU region) with Neon serverless PostgreSQL as the database. API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage and are only decrypted in memory when processing your requests. All connections use TLS encryption in transit.

We share data with the following services to operate Prompt Zero:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• PostHog — product analytics (EU hosted). You can opt out of analytics tracking in your browser settings.
• Sentry — error monitoring and performance tracking.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data — including prompts, snippets, and encrypted API keys — is permanently removed from our systems.

We use functional cookies required for authentication (Clerk session cookies) and analytics cookies (PostHog). PostHog analytics cookies are optional — you can opt out through your browser settings or by using a cookie blocker. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
